Mrs. Mildred Kirkland, 87, of Paeonian Springs, VA, formally Front Royal, VA, died March 26, 2012 at the home of her youngest daughter Pamela K. Siek. A memorial service will be conducted on April 13, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Catoctin Presbyterian Church by Pastor David Douthett.

Mrs. Kirkland was born December 27, 1924 in Beaverdale, PA to the late Joseph and Mary Kubovchik; she was the youngest of thirteen. Mrs. Kirkland was a retired computer programmer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association and an active grandmother. She was a member of the St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, VA.

Surviving her are her daughters Priscilla Smith, Peggy Hixon and Pamela Siek; eight grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; and one sister Julie Hanjey. She was a devout child of God and will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.
