Obituary
Miriam E. Moore, 89, of Hamilton, Virginia died December 27, 2008. She was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Purcellville, Virginia.
She was a 5th generation Washingtonian and a secretary for Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Moore, Sr.
Daughter of Roger and Mary Lansdale (deceased) and sister of Dorothy Felter (deceased). Survivors include: son Robert Moore, Jr.; daughter Kathleen Stricklen; grandchildren Richard and Bobby Stricklen, Douglas and Greg Moore, Beth Meyers, and Berkeley Burgess; and, great grandchildren Matthew, Nicholas, Mariah and Matthew Stricklen and Nikki Moore.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Hamilton Volunteer Fire Department, Box 44, Hamilton, VA 20159.
Graveside services will be held at Lakeview Cemetery, Hamilton, VA on (to be announced).
