Obituary

It is with deep anguish the family of Misako Ishizuka Hill announces her passing on February 17, 2019 at the age of 54, after courageously battling pancreatic cancer.  Misako, a much-loved wife, mother, daughter and friend, was born on October 11, 1964 in Kyoto, Japan and resided in Loudoun County for the past two years.  She is daughter to Shohei (father deceased) and Toshiko (mother) Ishizuka of Narita, Japan, and sister to Seiichi Ishizuka (brother) of Los Angeles, California and married to Aya.

Misako spent most of her life living in Hawaii where she met her loving husband of 15 years, Allen Robert Hill and her precious step children, Chad (28) with wife Jee Hae, Tiffani (25) with husband Anthony Nazario, Naomi (22), and Brandon (21). She was a loving Aunt to nephew Skyler and grandmother "Nana" to grandson Zachary son of Chad and Jee Hae. Misako loved to travel, soaking up the history of wherever she went.  Misako graduated from Albertus Magnus College with an associate's degree.  Her first job was with Northwest Airlines as an airline agent.  Her career path then took into banking where she worked as a personal banker before finally entering the real estate business as a property manager.

Misako made many friends throughout her life and she was extremely good at keeping in touch with them all.  From elementary, high school and college, to her coworkers throughout her career, she maintained close friendship with them up until her passing.  Misako did not want to have a funeral service.  She wanted everyone to have good memories of her.  This YouTube link https://youtu.be/fAO8VTeJesE is in remembrance of the joy she brought to everyone in her life.  The first song on the video is Misako's wedding song by Dan Fogelberg.

Misako's family will be having a family only viewing service on February 22 at 2:30pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg.  Misako's wish is for people not to send anything but to donate to pancreatic cancer research and cancer support organizations.  Donations can be done in two ways.  Georgetown University, The Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers, and selecting Pediatric Cancer Research at https://ruesch.georgetown.edu/gift# or the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and donate a memorial gift in her name at https:/www.pancan.org/honormemorial-gifts/ The Hill family wants to thank everyone for their love and support.
