IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Myles "Colin"
Johnson
May 27, 1968 – September 5, 2018
Myles Colin Johnson was welcomed home to Heaven on September 5, 2018 after a months-long battle with pancreatic cancer. At the time of his death, he was a special agent for the United States Secret Service (USSS), a position he held for the past 20 years, primarily on presidential detail. Prior to his career in the USSS, Colin served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps for eight years, leading his fellow Marines in combat in Somalia.
Born on May 27, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Colin's family moved to North Palm Beach, Florida the following year. A talented artist, Colin graduated from Palm Beach Gardens High School in 1986 and then earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida's College of Fine Arts.
Colin's strong Christian faith was the cornerstone of his heart, and he always exuded sincere appreciation for family, children, nature, and all things creative and fun. Whether it was his fascination with classic films, tough motorcycles, or imaginative missions for his nieces and nephews, Colin lived life to the fullest. His devotion to our nation and its history, and his respect for others, inspired many. Colin was truly larger than life - both physically and in terms of his personality. He harbored an immense heart and unflagging integrity. In addition, his zeal for life, quick wit, and gift of encouragement was always genuine and life-giving. Colin's light lives on in the hearts of all who have ever crossed his path.
Colin is survived by his wife of nearly 5 years, Fanny Gutierrez Johnson, and two sons, Maximo (3) and Magnus (2), whom he loved very much. He is also survived by his loving parents, Robert C. and Joan L. Johnson, sister Piper Johnson Crisafi, brother Robert Chet Johnson, brother-in-law Nicholas A. Crisafi, sister-in-law Marissa E. Johnson, and nine adoring nieces and nephews: Briley, Jocelyn, Cade, Carter, Jacen, Easton, Sienna, Evrynn and Breaker, all of whom reside in Colin's hometown of North Palm Beach. Colin was welcomed into Heaven with a warm embrace from his older brother, Benton Erik Johnson, USN, DC, along with several special loved ones who have gone before him.
