On Wednesday, February 26, 2014, Nadine Harrison Harden, of Leesburg, Virginia died at Halquist Memorial Hospice Center in Arlington, Virginia. She had been a resident of Leisure World for eight years.
She was loved and admired by all who had the good fortune of knowing her and will be remembered as one of the most interesting, knowledgeable and kindest women who ever lived. She was an artist, a business woman and an extraordinary volunteer for many organizations and charities. All who knew her, especially her loving family, truly enjoyed time spent with Nadine (Deanie). Her love of life, spirit and wisdom will never be forgotten. She was truly a remarkable woman who was very much loved and will be sorely missed.
Nadine was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Col. Ernest R. Harden (ret. USAF) and is survived by her daughter, Linda and son Ernest R. Harden IV. She had 5 grandchildren, Lorie, Stephen, Phillip, Andrew, and Jonathan and 5 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Keegan, Ariel, Kayleigh, and Shaine.
A viewing will be held at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE in Leesburg, VA on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM with funeral services immediately following in the chapel.
