Obituary
Nellie McKimmey Gill, 98, a long time resident of Leesburg, died January 19 at ComForCare, a personal care home in Houston, TX. Nellie resided with her daughter, Emily Taxis in Sugar Land, TX for several years but more recently has been in this home care facility.
Graveside services are February 1 at 11 a.m. at Lovettsville Union Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Wishmeyer officiating.
Mrs. Gill was born in Waterford in 1914 to the late Elbert McKimmey and Lucy C. McKimmey. Nellie was preceded in death by her husband John Richard Gill.
Survivors include two daughters, Elnora G. Grubb of Purcellville and Emily Gill Taxis of Sugar Land, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg.
