Nicolette Sheridan Polend

May 9, 1995 –July 10, 2012

Nicolette Sheridan Polend of Bluemont passed away at her home on July 10, 2012. She was 17 years old. She was born on May 9, 1995 in Reston, Virginia to Sherry Lynn Polend and Gregory Allen Polend. She was an upcoming senior at Woodgrove High School. In her spare time she enjoyed playing with the family dog, Hank. She also loved softball, hunting, fishing, and riding her 4 wheeler.
Those she leaves behind are her loving parents, Sherry L. Polend and Gregory A. Polend; one brother, Gregory A. Polend, Jr. two grandmothers, Linda Mullins of Leesburg and Margaret Smith of Martinsburg, WV, one grandfather, Rodney Smith of Martinsburg, one great-grandmother, Lillian A. Carlisle of Leesburg, two aunts, Tabatha Mullins of Leesburg and Denise Fatz of Lovettsville, an uncle, Kerry Fatz , and cousins, Mitchell Fatz, Madison Fatz, and Collin Mullins-Saunders. She is predeceased by her grandfathers, Foyster Mullins and Irving Polend, her great grandfather, William F. Carlisle, and her best friend, Jessica Stewart.

A time of visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Sunday, July 15, 2012 between 4:00 and 6:00p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. Funeral services will be held at Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11am with Rev. Joel Slemp officiating; with interment immediately thereafter at Union Cemetery in Leesburg. Family and friends are invited to a reception at the Leesburg Firehall. Pall Bearers are: Mitchell Fatz, Collin Mullins-Saunders, Jerry Stewart III, Austin Stewart, Dylan Stewart and Briar Jenkins.
