Obituary
Nils Gomez Rolando died February 18 in Leesburg, VA. Born January 10, 1933 to Fortunata Rolando Orihuela and Juan H. Gomez in Huánuco, Peru.
He lived a fruitful life; he served in Peru's armed forces in the 50's, worked delivering mercantile throughout the mountain range of Peru and met many interesting people. He later owned and drove a transportation bus, Nils migrated to the United States in 1987 and created new opportunities for his family and worked very hard to own his own custodial company. He loved music; he enjoyed spending time with friends dancing. Nils also loved working on cars; there wasn't anything in a car he could not fix.
Nils is survived by his children, siblings and many cherished family. He was predeceased by his mother, father, nephew Rodolfo and one brother, Juan Jose.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 11:00am to 1:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 with service starting at 1:00pm. Interment will be private.
Nils Gómez Rolando falleció en Leesburg, VA el 18 de febrero. Nació el 10 de enero del 1933 a sus padres Fortunata Rolando Orihuela y Juan H. Gómez en Huánuco, Perú.
Vivió un vida fructuosa; fue miembro de las fuerzas armadas en Perú en los 50's, luego trabajo manejando mercancía por la cordillera de Perú y tuvo la oportunidad de conocer a muchas personas interesantes. Migro a los Estados Unidos en 1987 para proveer nuevas oportunidades a su familia y trabajo muy duro para poder tener su propia compañía. Amaba la música y disfrutaba mucho pasar el tiempo bailando con amigos. También amaba la mecánica, y nunca encontró un problema con un automóvil que no pudo arreglar.
Nils es sobrevivido por sus hijos, nietos y hermanos que lo amaron mucho. Lo antecedieron en el reino de Dios su madre, padre, sobrino, Rodolfo y un hermano, Juan José.
La familia recibirá a amigos el miércoles, 22 de febrero del 2012 desde las 11 a.m. a la 1 p.m. en Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 con un servicio empezando a la 1:00pm. El entierro será privado.
