Norva Monica Glenn, age 78, of Diego Martin, Trinidad, died at her home in Ashburn, VA on September 12, 2018.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Errol Glenn; and her two children, her daughter, Genevieve Glenn-Shipmon and her son, Hazeley Glenn.

Norva began her professional calling as a primary school teacher and positively shaped young, developing minds for 30 years in Trinidad and Tobago. After retiring as an educator, she embarked on a new adventure and migrated with her family to the United States. She called New Jersey, California, Arizona and Virginia her home over those years. During this time, Norva found satisfaction and happiness in her second career as a customer service representative and cashier at Walmart Department Stores. After a sterling 21-year career supporting customers in Arizona, she retired for a second time and moved one final time to Ashburn, Virginia.

Norva loved life, her family and her friends. She was a kind, loving and pure soul. She seemed to make a positive difference in anyone, and everyone who was blessed to have met her.

There will be a remembrance ceremony for her at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, in Leesburg, Virginia. Norva's love transcended many shores and her life will not only be celebrated here in Virginia, but also in the place she first called home on the island of Trinidad in the West Indies. A memorial service will be held amongst all her friends and family in Trinidad at a later date.

She will always be remembered, she will always be treasured, and she will always be loved.
