IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ollie Campbell
Buckley
August 22, 2007 – November 4, 2024
'It is with our deepest sorrow and extremely heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved son, Ollie Campbell Buckley, who left us on 11/4/24 at 17 years old, leaving a void in our hearts that will never be filled.
Ollie was our light and joy, and our teacher in many ways. He was a proud trans male who embraced his true self with honesty and courage. His journey to live authentically, despite the challenges he faced, was an inspiration to everyone who knew him and the greatest honor to be part of as his parents.
His bravery and self-acceptance taught us about the power of living ones truth no matter the obstacle.
Born in 08/22/07 in Wigan, England, Ollie was a gifted painter and an avid reader. He was just discovering his artistic capabilities and balanced that with his passion for books and the love of reading which allowed him to explore worlds far beyond his own. More than anything, Ollie found comfort and joy hanging out with his older brother and younger siblings, to whom he was deeply protective and devoted. Their bond was one of laughter, support, and unbreakable love. They gifted each other strength, kindness and immeasurable love.
Ollie struggled at times with the weight of his own battles, but he continued to inspire love, understanding and compassion in those around him. We are forever grateful to have been his parents, to have loved him and be loved by him. His strength and love lives on in the hearts of all he touched.
Ollie will be deeply missed by his parents (Tracie and Dean), step mum (Katie), his siblings, stepfamily, grandparents and all who knew him.
Our sweet, funny Ollie. This gap will never be filled but we carry you, your love and your spirit, in our hearts forever. We are so proud of the person you became, so very grateful for the time together and so blessed to be your mum and dad. May your thoughts be calm, your fears gone and you be at peace, our beautiful boy.
A memorial service will be held on 11/14. Guests should arrive between 1-1.30 with the memorial service taking place at 2pm at Colonial Funeral.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to make a donation in Ollies name
