Patricia Dianne Dase, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2026. She was born on September 28, 1940, in Arlington, Virginia, to Joseph “Frank” and Rita Fearson.
In 1960, Patricia married Michael “Larry” Petrella, and together they had two sons, Dennis and Ronald Petrella. Tragically, Larry lost his life in 1965 while serving in the line of duty with the United States Park Police in Washington, D.C. Patricia later married Anthony Donatella, and together they had a son, Dominic “Joe” Donatella.
In 1985, Patricia married Floyd Dase, with whom she shared a truly special marriage. Affectionately known as Granny Pat and Pop-Pop, they brought their families together and filled their lives with love, laughter, and wonderful memories. Although Floyd passed away in 2003, the love they shared and the happiness they brought to their family continue to be cherished today.
Patricia had a lifelong passion for caring for others. She spent many years running an in-home childcare business, touching the lives of countless children and families. After retiring, she especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, often cheering them on at sporting events and sharing in their many activities. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, and enjoyed tending to her garden. Above all, Patricia loved her family, and the love she gave will remain with them always.
Patricia is survived by her three sons and their loving families:
Dennis “Denny” Petrella, his wife Genevieve, and their son Joe Petrella.
Ronald “Ron” Petrella and his wife Diane; their son Michael Petrella, his wife Kelly, and their daughters Madison and Kara; their daughter Kaitlin Murray, her husband Mark, and their children Parker and Aubrey; and their daughter Karly Petrella.
Dominic “Joe” Donatella, his wife Kim, and their children Samantha and Nick.
She is also survived by her brother Frank Fearson; his wife, Bonnie; their son, Ryan; and their grandson, Grant.
