Patricia M. Morrison, age 80 of Leesburg, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Patricia was a career health care provider. She attended the Winchester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Following her graduation with the class of '53 she began her nursing career at the Winchester Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse working in Pediatrics and the ER. She also worked for many years for the Loudoun County Health Department in Leesburg.

Patricia and the late Dr. Samuel S. Morrison married on September 25,1964 of which she resided in their home in Leesburg up to her passing. Preceded in death by her parents, Gentry L. and Ruby M. (Smith) Muse; husband Samuel; son George; sister Francis Ready; brother Lawrence Muse; and brother Aiton Muse. Patricia is survived by her daughter Susan (Bud) Boulter; brothers Thomas (Evelyn), James, Hugh (Cookie) Muse; and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was known for her passion for sewing where she made many cherished friends along the way through her seamstress work. She loved to cook, bake and especially knit gifts for her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Road, N.E. with service to follow starting at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Kate Bryant of the St. James Episcopal Church presiding.

The Boulter and Muse families would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at the iNOVA Loudoun Hospital in Lansdowne, specifically those in the ICU unit for their attentiveness and loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Patricia's name to the Ladies Board of Inova Loudoun Hospital's Lights of Love program.
Donations can also be made to the Human Society of Loudoun County.
