Patrick Olivier Cesard passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2016. He was 51 years old.
He was born in Antony, France on January 10, 1965. He attended Rochambeau, The French International School in Bethesda, MD, before studying at University of Delaware where he received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. He then went to work for J.F. Taylor, Inc. at which time he completed his master's degree in electrical engineering from Florida Institute of Technology. Patrick continued his career as a senior software engineer and has worked for Boeing Information Services, SAIC, Sallie Mae and most recently Deloitte.
He is survived by his devoted wife Lynn (Johnson), his three loving children, Connor, Jillian and Jeremy of Leesburg, VA, his brother John (and wife Debby) of East Windsor, NJ, and his parents Mary Alice and Claude of Paramus, NJ. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews whom were very dear to him.
Patrick was a loving, caring father and husband and was happiest when spending time with his family. He was also passionate about the environment. He loved anything outdoors including riding his bike, swimming, hiking, canoeing with his kids, camping with his family, playing basketball, snowboarding, long boarding and windsurfing. He also enjoyed dancing with Lynn and participating in yoga classes. He was proud of his French heritage and was an enthusiastic follower of the Tour de France and FIFA.
The Cesard family will receive friends on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, VA 20176 - visitation from 12 pm-2 pm, with service beginning at 2 pm.
In Patrick's honor, donations can be mailed to Friends of W & OD Trail, 21293 Smiths Switch Road, Ashburn, Virginia 20147. Checks should be made out to NVRPA. In the memo please put "In memory of Patrick Cesard".
