Patrick Godfrey Hunt , 82, of Oakton Virginia, left us to be with his beloved wife Joyce, on May 24, 2017.

Pat joined the Navy at the age of 18 where he served in the Korean War aboard the USS Shasta. In 1959, he joined the Arlington County Fire Department and held several positions during his 31 year career, before retiring in 1990 as a Battalion Fire Chief.

Pat was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a member of St. Marks Catholic Church in Vienna, VA.

Preceding Pat in death are; his wife of 52 years Joyce Marie Hunt, his sister Rose Marie Hunt, and his parents Thomas and Agnes Hunt. Surviving him are; his son Michael P. Hunt, his daughter Donna M. Hopeck and husband Gregory A. Hopeck, his sister Sarah (Sally) Hunt, his brother John Hunt, and his grandsons Justin A. Hopeck, Kyle M. Hopeck, and Sean B. Hopeck.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30AM on June 2, 2017, at St. Marks Catholic Church in Vienna, Virginia.
