Patrick Scott Zandi, age 53, went to be with his beloved Savior on January 9, 2017. Patrick was born to Vera Norene Bartley Hudson on March 23, 1963 in Fairfield, California. In 1982, at age 19, he married his high school sweetheart, Paula Cantrell, and enlisted in the United States Air Force. Master Sergeant Zandi proudly served his country for 26 years and retired from active duty in 2008 and began working for Dev Technology Group in Herndon, Virginia. Pat and Paula raised four children: Bethany, Alicia, Jonathan, and Matthew, over their marriage of 34 years.
Pat's life was a testimony of his faith in Jesus Christ. His desire to serve Jesus and see others know the Lord was evident to all who met him. Pat's genuine love for people was demonstrated by his servant's heart, sacrificial spirit, and passion for helping others. He counted it a privilege to be a MSGT, volunteer firefighter, baseball coach, deacon in his local church, counselor, youth worker, husband, father, and grandfather.
His legacy lives on through his loving wife; children; son-in-law; beloved granddaughter, Ada Grace; his mother, Norene; his brothers and sisters; and the family and friends who loved him.
A memorial service to celebrate Pat's life will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Faithway Baptist Church, 75 Lawson Road, Leesburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Caring For The Heart Ministries at www.caringfortheheart.com or to Faithway's Bible College Scholarship Fund in his name, please contact Faithway Baptist Church, (703) 727-8525 for information.
