Obituary
Peter Michael "Mike" Holland, 69, of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Leesburg, Virginia died September 24.
He was born July 27, 1943 in Hartford, Connecticut to George Wilson and Faith Rogers Holland. He served in the United States NAVY for 4 years on the USS Saratoga and USS Enterprise during the Cuban Missile Crisis before working for the Federal Aviation Administration in Leesburg for 43 years.
He is survived by his wife Shelly of Chandler, AZ, sister Hope Holland of Germantown, MD, sons Scott of Leesburg, VA and Douglas (and wife Tonya) of Radford, VA, daughter Suzanne Pratt (and husband Jake) of Lucketts, VA, and step-daughter KeiLani Gutierrez Ury of Yuma, AZ. He is also survived by granddaughters Lillian Pratt and Paige Holland. He is predeceased by his former wife, Nancy Holland.
The family will have a visitation on Monday October 1 from 11-1pm followed by funeral service at 1pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Leesburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holland Grandchildren College Fund, c/o Middleburg Bank, 102 Catoctin Circle, S.E., Leesburg VA 20175.
