Obituary
Peter Kavanaugh, age 86, a construction engineer, passed away Saturday March 7 after a long battle with many illnesses. A native of NYC, Alpine, NJ., Richmond, VA., and 10 year resident of Loudoun county, VA.
He is survived by his former wife, Ruthanne Kavanaugh of CO.; and his sister Millicient Ruddy (Dr. Shaun Ruddy) of Richmond, VA. He is also survived by his four children: Dr. Shaun Kavanaugh (MaryAnne) of NJ.; Kevin Kavanaugh (Finola) of Leesburg VA.; Kerry Kavanaugh (Sandra) of TX.; and Dr. Lisa Kavanaugh of CO. Mr. Kavanaugh has six granchildren, eight great grandchildren, two nieces, a grand niece, two grand nephews, and several cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions in Peter Kavanaugh's name to Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Suite 500, Falls Church, VA. 22042 or www.capitalhospice.org.
