Philip Conlee entered into eternal life with his Lord on October 7, 2010. Born February 5, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA, he grew up in Albuquerque NM, spending summers at his grand-parents home in Leon, Iowa. Philip was a member of the first graduating class of Highland High School in Albuquerque and then spent four years on the USS Bremerton during the Korean War. After college, Philip returned to Los Angeles and worked several years as an engineer in the aerospace industry. He then taught at Franklin High School in East Los Angeles for 11 years where he impacted the lives of many "at risk youths".

He later married his best friend and the love of his life, Carolyn Edwards Conlee. He and Carolyn were blessed with four children; sons Mitchell and Steven and step daughters Sarah Blackford and Shari Cohen. Philip accepted God's calling and he served as senior pastor of Living Word Fellowship in Ventura, CA.

Philip was predeceased by his parents Robert and Willetta Conlee and son Steven Conlee.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Carolyn; son and daughter-in-law Mitchell and Terri Conlee of Ventura, California; daughter-in-law Darlene Conlee of Bakersfield, California; step daughter and son-in-law Sarah and Kevin Bickford of Elgin, Illinios; step daughter and son-in-law Shari and Dr. Michael Cohen of Baltimore, Maryland; grandchildren Katherine Conlee, Olivia Conlee, Nichole Conlee, Mathew Conlee, Brian Conlee, Adam Conlee, Grace Bickford, Emily Bickford, Evan Cohen, Alec Cohen, Lauren Cohen and great grandchildren Alysa Conlee, Rygan Conlee, Gavin Conlee, Luke Conlee, Jase Conlee and Gavin Conlee.

A memorial service will be held for family and friends of Philip on Thursday, October 14, 2010 starting at 6:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. Chaplain Carey Johnson will be officiating.
