Rachel Ann Ainsworth Heppes passed away October 15, 2018 at her home in Sterling, VA. She was the eldest daughter of Humphrey Lee Ainsworth and Virgie Rebecca Hough of Leesburg, VA. Rachel was passionate about history and genealogy and was a member of the Fairfax County Daughters of the American Revolution. She is predeceased by her husband Roger Heppes, Sr., and parents, sister Rosalie Mason, daughter Tamala Rachell Houchins, and her children's father Thomas Abram Houchins, Sr.  She is survived by daughter Rebecca Ann Kummel (Ed), son Thomas Abram Houchins, Jr. (Susan) and step-sons Roger "Chip" Heppes, Jr (Gini) and Jerry Heppes (Mara).

Visitation will be on October 19th beginning at 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow visitation.  Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
