Randall "Randy" Curtis Westbrook, 60, of Ashburn, Virginia, passed away on April 18 ^th , 2023 in a hospital in Washington, DC. He is survived by his son Jason Westbrook of Ashburn, VA, former wife and good friend June Westbrook of Parker, CO, his sister Cheryl Hoffman of Los Angeles, CA, his brother Tony Westbrook of Sherman Oaks, CA, and his sister Sonya Westbrook of Dunn, NC.

Randy was known and loved by family and friends for his great sense of humor, spontaneousness, and love for the outdoors, fishing, camping and riding his motorcycle. He served six years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and led a career with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department where he eventually became a detective and also worked with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force, which he enjoyed. He ended his career as a police sergeant after serving 23 years. He had been coast to coast and border to border on road trips with his son and other family members during his retirement.

Randy had a heart of gold. He was a simple man and didn't need much to enjoy himself, a good movie or campfire and ice cold beer was all he needed for an enjoyable night. He held a particular fondness for the Shenandoah River Valley, the beaches of the east coast, and the Rocky Mountains.
