Ricio Rufino Tantoco, 88, passed away of natural causes in Lansdowne, Virginia on March 5, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Salome (Sally), his brother Bienvenido (Benny), his children Ricardo, Eduardo, Veronica, Theresa, Victoria, and  Ricio Jr., 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents Luis and Carmen,  6 siblings, and his son Wilfredo.

Born in Malolos, Bulacan and raised in Manila, Philippines, he graduated from Far Eastern University on April 7, 1956 with a business degree. Ricio started his career by assisting his elder brother, Benny, to establish the renowned Rustan Group of Companies in the Philippines.

When Ricio met Sally, it was love at first sight! They were married on September 14, 1952.  Family was the most important thing to Ricio.  His greatest joy was napping during family gatherings while surrounded by his rowdy children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed travelling the globe with Sally.

The viewing will be held at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg on Friday, March 12 from 3pm until 7pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 13 at 10:30am at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Fairfax.  Following the service, he will be laid to rest beside his son Wilfredo at Fairfax Memorial Park.
