Robert J. Belger, affectionately known as Bob, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, on January 6, 1945, Bob was the beloved son of Thomas and Florence Belger.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Bob's passions included golf and cheering for the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. His love for the game was matched only by his enjoyment of visiting wineries and spending quality time with his family and friends.  Bob's warm heart and generous spirit were felt by all who knew him.

He is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 56 years, Jean Anne Belger. He leaves behind his children, Laurie and Gary, Bobby and Jimmy, and his cherished grandchildren, Tommy, Kaitlyn, Jaden, Matthew, and Jackson.

Bob will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his enthusiasm for sports, and the joy he brought to those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A wake will be held on Friday August 23, 2024, from 12:00-2:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg VA. A celebratory mass will be held on Saturday August 24, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Potomac Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons Research in Bob's honor.
