Robert "Bob" John Conner Sr passed away on January 1, 2019 in Leesburg, VA at the age of 70.   Robert was born on May 6, 1948 in Providence RI to Thomas and Marion Conner of Cranston RI. Bob served two years with distinction as a soldier with the United States Army in the Vietnam War, where he earned several medals, including the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 Device and the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm.

Robert worked at Gorham manufacturing company prior to retiring from the United States postal service. A quiet man, Bob was a kind, loving man and father. He loved nature, crossword puzzles and documentaries that served his passion for knowledge.

Bob was preceded by his parents, Thomas and Marion Conner. He is survived by his four children, Michelle, Gina, Shannon and Bobby Jr; his brother Tommy and sister Kathy as well as 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The services will be held at Veterans Memorial Cemetery  301 S County Trail, Exeter, RI 02822 on Saturday February 2, 2019 at 11:30AM
