Obituary

Age 78, Robert Scott Craig passed away on December 23, 2013 after long illnesses including heart disease, diabetes, and frontal temporal lobe dementia. His ashes will be scattered in Gettysburg next year. Brother of Dick Craig and Tom Craig and deceased sister, Virginia Craig. Husband of Frances Craig, Father of Ellen Craig and Christopher Craig, Grandfather of Logan and Charlie Craig. Scott was born in Detroit, moved to a farm in Butler County, Pennsylvania. Earned a teaching degree at Slippery Rock University and a Master's degree at Indiana University. Scott taught at Hampton Township High School from 1958 through 1987. Author of "A Civil War Family" in 2010.

A gathering to celebrate Scott's life will be held Friday, 12/27 from 5-7 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, Virginia. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, 12/28 at 11 a.m. at St. David's Episcopal Church in Ashburn.
