Robert Harley Estrada, 89, of Leesburg, VA passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at his home, surrounded by his family. 
Bob was born on July 29, 1936 to Herbert and Elizabeth (Mack) Estrada in Philadelphia, PA.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Alice (Quinn) of 49 years, his parents, and his siblings Herbert Estrada Jr. and Nancy (Estrada) McQuiston.
Bob graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1958 and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1959.
He retired after a long career at IBM as an engineer and Program Manager working with one of the first computer chips and with sonar technologies.
Bob loved spending time with his family, his grandchildren, and his dog Jackie. He enjoyed golf, travel, cooking, and watching his hometown baseball team, the Phillies. His smile would light up the room.
He is survived by his children Rose (Doug) Forest of Leesburg, VA and Robert Estrada of Seattle, WA, and grandchildren Kathryn, Harley, Ainsley, Ava, and Wesley.
His memorial service will be held Friday, August 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Road NE, Leesburg, VA, 20176.
His Burial Service will be at Union Cemetery, 323 North King Street, Leesburg, VA 20176 immediately following.
