Robert Lee Lickey Sr., 83 went to be with the Lord on April 21 ^st , 2023 at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

Robert was born February 13 ^th , 1940 in Hamilton Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents; James Foster and Myrtle Elizabeth. 11 brothers and sisters; son Robert Lee Lickey Jr. and granddaughter Natasha Jackson.

Robert is survived by his wife of 62 years Mary E. Lickey of Ashburn Virginia, 2 sons William Lickey of Lexington Kentucky, Jeffrey Lickey (Kim) of Germantown Maryland, 2 daughters, Katherine Hughes (Raymond) of Leesburg Virginia and Roberta Oliver (Frank) of Gerradstown West Virginia.

His grandchildren; Robert L Lickey the 3 ^rd , Olivia and Miranda Oliver, Ashley and Macayla Lickey, Rynette and Aaron Jackson, Brian Harris, 7 great grand children, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

In Robert's younger years he worked on a farm, then he became a mechanic/state inspector.

His greatest joys in life were spending time with his family. He was the best Husband, Dad, Grandad and we always came first.

He enjoyed planting big gardens, bowling, playing cards and spent a lot of time at the flea market talking with all his friends.

There are no words to express how truly thankful we are for all the prayers and many acts of kindness. We are grateful to God for all of the people who come to celebrate the life of Robert. We are blessed to have so many people in our lives to have helped us through this difficult time.

Our celebration of life for Robert will be at Colonial Funeral Home 201 Edwards Ferry Rd. NE, Leesburg, VA. 20176 on Thursday April 27 ^th , 2023.
