1939-2020
On September 6, 2020 Robert L. Pleger, Sr. passed away. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters. Following his USAF (MP) enlistment. He made his career with the Washington DC Metropolitan Police Dept., initially as an undercover office in the Special Operations Division, then as an Investigative Detective until his retirement in 1980. He volunteered many years for HEROES, Inc, (Honor Every Responsible Officer's Eternal Sacrifice), a non-profit organization serving families of fallen police officers.
He is survived by his wife, sons, and granddaughter,
Bob will be remember for his good nature, wonderful sense of humor, and love of animals. All who knew him knew of his deep love of family and friends, especially family. He enjoyed traveling, feeding the birds, and tending his flower garden. He very much enjoyed football and was an enthusiastic Redskins fan,

A celebration of Bob's life will occur at a later date due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
