Robert C. Wright was born on December 28, 1948 in Syracuse NY to Isaac C. & Rosalia T. Wright. In high school, he played baritone horn & later added trombone. He also played drums in a drum & bugle corp. As for sports, he played soccer early on in its American debut. He always beat his sister in tennis & chess! He graduated from Liverpool High School in 1967 with honors.  In college at Syracuse University, he received his bachelor degree in Russian studies, was in ROTC & a member of Delta Chi fraternity. He graduated in 1971 & went on to get a masters degree from John Hopkins University in Washington DC in international studies with a specialty in Russian affairs.

Bob began his active duty with the U.S.Air Force & was assigned to Turkey where he met his future wife, Suzanne, & they were married on the base in July 1975. They spent most of his twenty years stationed in Germany, where they had four children.  When he retired, they moved to Leesburg VA where they have lived ever since. In Leesburg he was an active member of St. John the Apostle Church for 24 years & sang in their choir. He was also active in the American Volksport Assoc., Kiwanis, & several Loudon County committees & a precinct chairman.

He is survived by his wife, two children, four grandchildren & one sister, who will miss him very much.
