Roberta Louise Bennett Lockwood went to meet her Lord on Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at the age of 91. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, A. Ray and Mary Bennett, 9 half -sisters, a sister, Ethel Margaret Bennett, a son-in-law, Alan Skutt, 2 great granddaughters, and her loving husband, Burtford G. Lockwood.  Roberta is survived by her children, Glenn R. Lockwood, Jeannette Skutt, Christine (Keith) Hazeltine, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a sister, Shirley Kelly, a brother, Ronald (Pat) Bennett, and many nieces and nephews. Roberta was loved by all.

Roberta was born August 11, 1927. She was raised in Ionia and Rochester, NY. She graduated from Bloomfield Central School in 1946 and attended RIT for 2 years.  On October 11,1947 Roberta married Burtford Lockwood and set up a home in Victor, NY. Roberta had many occupations including: an inspector at Sage Electronics, a school crossing guard, cafeteria worker at Victor High School, caregiver, and many other jobs. Roberta loved to read to the children at story time at the Victor Free Library. She was a Girl Scout leader and Boy Scout committee member in Victor. Roberta was a member of the Victor- Farmington Ambulance Corps, The Hiking Club, and the Historical Society. Roberta was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Farmington. She moved to Leesburg, VA. to live with her daughter, Jeannette Skutt in 2008, where she lived till her death. She will be interned next to her husband and his parents at South Perinton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
