Roger Sheldon Van Vliet (Age 83)
On March 3, 2015, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Leesburg, VA. Roger was the son of Sheldon and Esther Van Vliet and was born in Kearney, NJ, June 19, 1931. Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Maureen Lanigan Van Vliet, daughter, Shelley (Carl) Moellering, sons, Stuart (Bridget) Van Vliet, and John (Jennifer) Van Vliet, stepdaughter, Courtney (Robert) McCarthy, stepsons, Kevin Kuesters and Patrick Kuesters, sister, June (Raymond) Alley of Easton, MD, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The date for funeral service at Arlington National Cemetery is to be determined.
Roger's family wishes to thank all the wonderful people from Capital Caring Hospice Services and Loudoun Home Care who provided loving care throughout his journey.
