Ronnie Lewis Miller of Leesburg, VA passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011 at the age of 60. He was born on October 26, 1950 in Loudoun County, VA to the late Charles Oliver and Beulah "Mae" (Fauble) Miller. He is survived by his daughter Amy Danielle Miller; son Michael Allen Rollison; granddaughter Emily Danielle Miller all of Leesburg, VA; brothers Edward M Miller of Leesburg, VA and Charles (Cotton) Clifford Fauble of Winchester, VA. He is predeceased by brother Lee Miller.
In 1970 he was drafted into the United States Army where he served for 2 years. Honorably serving in Vietnam for our freedom, he earned various medals including the Bronze Star Medal. The Bronze Star Medal is earned by an act of heroism, distinguished apart from his comrades, performed while fighting an enemy of the United States or while involved in conflict with an opposing force. He wasn't one to brag on himself or talk about the war much so the particular brave or praiseworthy act that was performed is unknown to his family but is currently being researched.
After his honorable discharge in 1971 he worked as a meat cutter, a drywall finisher, built a log cabin and for the past 6+ years worked for Arbor Artist. He was a hard worker all his life, his gentle but scarred and calloused hands were proof of that.
He loved his family and friends and he was very well loved in return, by all that knew him. You could see love from his eyes when he looked at you, without him saying a word. He loved to roller skate when he was young and loved to fish his whole life. As soon as the weather was turning nice that's what you could find him doing. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held Sunday May 1, 2011, from 2-5pm, at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to M.A.D.D. Loudoun, 5310 Markel Road, Richmond, VA 23230.
"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."
