Obituary

Ronnie Lee Outlaw, age 66, of Round Hill, Virginia passed away on December 8, 2020 with his family by his side.

Ronnie is survived by his wife Kimberly Outlaw; the mother of his children, Karen Leonard; three daughters: Rana (Kevin) Walker, Jamie (Eric) Montoney, and Morgan (Michael) Robertson; and seven grandchildren: Brandon Springer, Taylor Outlaw, Jana Denny, Eric Montoney Jr., Alex Montoney, Danielle Robertson, and Owen Robertson. He is also survived by two sisters, Doreen and Wanda Gay, one brother, Jeff, and numerous other relatives.  Ronnie is predeceased by his parents; son, Jeremy; sister, Linda; and brother, Bruce.

Ronnie was born in Currituck, North Carolina to Jesse Outlaw and Lorraine Enfield on October 20, 1954. He enlisted in the US Marines at the age of 17 and fought in the Vietnam War. After leaving the military, Ronnie became active as an Emergency Medical Technician and ran an ambulance in several states before landing back in Virginia to put down roots to start a family. He was an accomplished tradesman, and held master licenses in heating/air conditioning, electric, plumbing and gas. He took pride in teaching these trades and was an excellent mentor. He worked for several companies over the years, and proudly started his own business in Arlington, VA before retiring in 2012.

Ronnie was an accomplished skydiver with over 1500 jumps.  He was a skydiving instructor and parachute rigger with more than a dozen saves from the reserve parachutes that he packed.  He was a proud member of the Virginia State Skydiving Record for Large Formations with his wife Kimberly and many friends. An accomplished home builder, he took great pride in building the perfect home for his family, and he was in the process of finishing one more house for himself and his wife at the time of his passing. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with his friends and extended family. He will be missed by many and is very loved.

Ronnie's wish was to not have a formal service but rather a family gathering where his ashes would be released. This is planned for some time in the future with friends and family.
