Fue una mujer fuerte, valiente y profundamente llena de fe, cuyo amor por Dios guiaba cada aspecto de su vida. Como cristiana devota, Rosa encontraba gozo y paz en leer su Biblia diariamente y compartir su fe inquebrantable con quienes la rodeaban. Ella creía que con fe en el Señor, todo era posible.Rosa fue la amada esposa de Jose Israel Martinez y una madre dedicada a Edgar Martinez (Mary Martinez), Norma Martinez (Pedro Novoa), Wilson Martinez (Mayra Martinez) y Luis Martinez (Laura Martinez). Landaverde De Martinez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026, at the age of 77.Rosa was born on May 19, 1948, in El Salvador. She was a strong, brave, and deeply faithful woman whose love for God guided every part of her life. A devoted Christian, Rosa found joy and peace in reading her Bible daily and sharing her unwavering faith with those around her. She believed that with faith in the Lord, anything was possible.
Rosa was the loving wife of Jose Israel Martinez and a devoted mother to Edgar Martinez (Mary Martinez), Norma Martinez (Pedro Novoa), Wilson Martinez (Mayra Martinez), and Luis Martinez (Laura Martinez). She was also a proud grandmother to Karina Diaz, Michelle Lopez, Jeremy Martinez, Jasmine Martinez, Giselle Martinez, Zavier Martinez, Ezekiel Martinez, Zoe Martinez, Ezme Martinez, and Valentina Martinez, and great-grandmother to Elias Le-Martinez.
She will always be remembered for her kindness, strength, wisdom, and unconditional love for her family. Rosa was the hardest worker her family knew. Once she set a goal, she never gave up until she achieved it. She would do anything for the people she loved and dedicated her life to providing, caring for, and praying for her family.Rosa had a gift for storytelling and brought comfort and joy to others through her warmth and presence. She loved embroidering, reading books—especially the Bible—doing puzzles, and cooking meals that brought her family together. She also deeply loved animals, especially the family dogs, Max and Bella, who brought her so much joy and companionship. Her faith, love, and prayers touched generations and will continue to live on through all those who were blessed to know her.Above all, what made Rosa truly special was her deep love for God and her family. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, located at 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176. Burial will follow at Ketoctin Cemetery in Round Hill, Virginia. The family thanks everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
