Rosalie Fathbruckner Dunford, 94, of Morningside House of Leesburg, Virginia passed away at Heritage Hall in Leesburg, Virginia on Wednesday, April 10, 2013.
She was born January 7, 1919 in Crewe, Virginia to Oliver John Fathbruckner and Edith Estell Robertson Fathbruckner. She was married to Ernest E. Dunford on October 18, 1941. He preceded her in death in December 2003.
She graduated from Crew High School in 1936 and Elizabeth Buxton Hospital in Newport News, Virginia in 1940 as a registered nurse.
She is survived by a sister, Ann Fathbruckner of Victoria, Virginia and a sister in law, Grace Fathbruckner of Blackstone, Virginia and a brother in law, Robert (Pat) Dunford of Norfolk, Virginia. She was preceded in death by a brother, Oliver John Fathbruckner of Crewe, Virginia. She is also survived by a son, Robert D. Dunford (Peggy) of Hamilton, Virginia, 2 grandchildren, Christie Lynn McKenzie (David) of Berryville, Virginia and Erin Michelle Dunford of Hamilton, Virginia and 3 great granddaughters - Julia, Abigail and Rachel McKenzie and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, Virginia with Chaplin Cary Johnson officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in Crewe, Virginia.
