Loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend, Rose Marie (Beets) Ward, 82, formerly of Leesburg, VA passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 while residing at Royal Haven Assisted Living in Front Royal,VA. Born on September 27, 1929 in Irving, Texas, she was the proud daughter of Alvie Lee and Golden Pricie (Reid) Beets. She later married Edgar F. Ward and together they were blessed with two sons, Stephen and Michael. She and Edgar were further blessed with four grandsons.
Although she will be dearly missed, her memories will live on in those she leaves behind: her sons Stephen B. Ward, Sr. of Leesburg, VA and Michael W. Ward of Nashua, N.H.; grandsons Patrick A. Lickey, Stephen B. Ward, Jr., Kyle E. Ward and Tyler M. Ward; sisters Nelda Kaye Beets and Linda Carol (Beets) Kennedy; brothers John D. Beets, Kenneth P. Beets and Jerry L. Beets. She was predeceased by her parents Alvie Lee and Golden Pricie (Reid) Beets, and six other siblings and her husband Edgar F. Ward, who retired as a Commander with the U.S. Navy.

A graveside service will be held in Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, July 12, 2012 starting at 10:00 a.m.
