Ryan Heckman passed away on July 4, 2012 at his home. He was born November 26, 1991 in Woodbridge, Virginia. He graduated from Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, Virginia. Ryan played baseball, basketball, and football. Ryan was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed a good game of golf. He had a great love of baseball and played since he was old enough to pick up a ball. In his freshman year of high school Ryan was the power house of the Osbourn Park Baseball team, and was envied for his ability to hit homeruns. He was a natural leader. Ryan had the ability to make anyone laugh in any scenario and made every situation memorable. One of his greatest qualities was his smile.

He is survived by his parents Steve and Dianna Heckman, and his brothers Ian, Trevor, and Tristen. He is also survived by his grandparents Judy and John Heckman and Sandy Dresser. He is survived by many aunts, uncles and five cousins. Ryan will be dearly missed by all his family and friends who loved and knew him. He now continues to live on through the vital organs he donated upon his passing.

A visitation is planned for Monday, July 9, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Baker-Post Funeral Home, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, 20112. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, July 10 at 10:30 A.M. at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 12805 Valleywood Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22192. Because of Ryan's love for the United States Marine Corps, the family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made on Ryan's behalf to the Wounded Warrior Project, 1120 G.
