Sandra Kay Long, after a long illness, went to be with the Lord on December 27, 2014. Sandra Kay passed away at home with her husband by her side. Sandra was 71 years old.

Born in Ewing, Virginia, she was the proud daughter of James Albert and Julia Alder Taylor. Sandra was the loving wife of 48 years to her husband, Leo Lee Long. Together, they made their home in Sterling, Virginia. She was retired from NALC, National Association of Letter Carriers.

Sandra will be dearly missed, but her memories will be cherished by the friends and loved ones she leaves behind.

Along with her husband Leo, she is survived by her brother, Jimmy Dale Taylor, Sr. of Brevard, North Carolina and a sister, Judy Taylor of Middlesboro, Kentucky. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents James and Julia Taylor, brother Gary Albert Taylor and a son, Timothy Lee Long.

A viewing is scheduled for December 31, 2014 between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd, NE, Leesburg, Virginia. Burial will take place Saturday, January 3, 2015 in Brooks Cemetery, Ewing, Virginia.
