Sandy
Martin
Feb 22, 1974 — Jun 20, 2026
It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sandy Tsai Martin, 52 years
old, of Ashburn, VA. Sandy passed away at her home on June 20, 2026, surrounded by her family, after a courageous
year-long battle with cancer.
Born on February 22, 1974 in Taipei, Taiwan, she was the cherished daughter of Young Lung Tsai and Anne Tsai. She
grew up in Bethesda, MD where she graduated from Walt Whitman High School.
Sandy was beautiful, inside and out, bringing an undeniable light and warmth to everyone who was lucky enough to
know her. Sandy’s greatest joy was her family, and her devotion as a wife, mother, sister, daughter and friend was
unmatched. She had a passion for cooking, traveling, and entertaining. Her laughter filled our home, and her strength
guided us through every chapter of our lives. Whether she was striking up a conversation with a new friend, or simply
offering a listening ear, Sandy had a remarkable gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved. While she may no
longer be here to tell her stories, the beautiful legacy of love she created will live on in our hearts forever.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dan Martin; her adoring children, Kirkland, Everett, Logan, and Landon; her
parents, Young Lung Tsai of Taipei, Taiwan and Anne Tsai of Leesburg, VA; and her sister, Jennifer Tsai Anderson and
husband Phil Anderson She is also survived by her father in-law; brother and sister in-laws; nieces and nephews; great
nieces and nephews; and many aunts & uncles.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 from 3pm-7pm at The Harvest Barn at Stone
Tower Winery, located at 19925 Hogback Mountain Rd, Leesburg, VA. Family, friends, and all who were touched by
her beautiful spirit are invited to attend and honor her memory.
(Dress is business casual and in honor of Sandy, feel free to wear white and colorful attire.)
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandy's name to Friends of Homeless Animals of Loudoun County
