Seara Sue Rice, 77, a resident of Great Falls, Virginia passed away Saturday February 5 th from an unexpected illness. Her family and dear friends remained by her side throughout her struggle. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Sue was born on July 2 nd , 1944, in Abilene, Texas to Susie Belle Little Roberts and raised by both her and her stepfather Archie Lee Roberts. Sue grew up in in a busy, boisterous household with three brothers Fred Little, Jimmy Little, and Dale Roberts. Being the only girl, Sue grew up protected by her brothers and became a bit of a tomboy who thought she could do anything her brothers could do. Sue leaves behind her husband and best friend of nearly 60 years, Allan Rice, her daughter Michaela Berkson, and her three grandchildren Benjamin, Lincoln, and Madison.
Sue's life revolved around loving, taking care of, and being a support to her family. She was a steady, quiet strength who was always available to listen and help her family and friends. She enjoyed reading, bowling, dancing, and being at their mountain cabin with her loved ones. Sue loved the Lord and during her last days on earth, she was determined to share her experience and His great love.
A celebration of life will be held Monday, February 14 th , 2022, at 201 Edwards Ferry Road, NE Leesburg, Virginia at the Colonial Funeral Home. The gathering and viewing will be from 1 to 2 PM and the service will start at 2 PM.
