Sharon (Sherry) Kay Riley (57) passed away on Saturday, June 11 ^th , 2022 in Ranson, WV.

Sherry was born in Leesburg, VA on April 20, 1965.  She attended Loudoun County High School and worked for the Town of Leesburg Police Department as a Communications Technician III.

Sherry was known for helping people from serving with the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company to frequently donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Sherry married the love of her life, Scott Warren Riley on  January 23, 2003 in Washington, DC.

Sherry was survived by her husband, Scott, son, Michael Frye, step-son Brian Riley (Alina), grandson, Jameson, mother, Bonnie Whetsell, and preceded in death by her father, Mike Whetsell.  She was also survived by her brother, Wayne Whetsell (Michele) and her nieces & nephew  (Madelyn, Morgan, Meghan, and Zach).

Viewing will be June 22 from 10am-1pm with funeral service starting at 1pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, VA with interment to follow at Union Cemetery.  Family will be receiving friends at the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company immediately following graveside.
