Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry Denise Cramer Bucher of Leesburg, VA on January 17, 2025, after a ten year battle with breast cancer. It would be unfair to say that Sherry lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. Born in Lima, Ohio on July 18th, 1958, to Doris LeGette and Jimmy Cramer and raised by Doris and Mel LeGette. She married the love of her life, Christopher A. Bucher, on June 18th, 1989, in Springfield, Virginia. He preceded her in death on September 4th, 2010.

Sherry was an incredible artist. She was highly skilled at decorating, sewing, painting, and design. She loved to spend her time golfing, attending concerts, hosting parties, spending time with her family and friends, playing with her granddaughter and crafting. Sherry was good at everything. She was athletic, motivational, and she could figure out anything that stood in her way. She was always the life of the party. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She ran two cheerleading gyms and loved to coach. Sherry had an eye for perfection and a sharp routine. She was always a fighter, determined, and a leader. When the pressure was on, that's when Sherry was her best. She had the innate ability to take anything to the next level. "Like, who would ever think she would be so good at crown molding." To know Sherry was to love her.

She is survived by her daughters Mackenzie and Madison and granddaughter, Mayleigh. Her brothers and their wives Jeffrey and Dorothy, Randall and Robin, Mark, in-laws Ken and Kathy, Jimmy, Jeanmarie and Joe, and mother-in-law Rose Marie. As well as her nieces and nephews Jacob, Jennifer, great-nephew Cam, Samantha, Stephanie, Zachary, Jake, and Jamison. As well as many of her closest family and friends.

The family will be holding a visitation on Friday, January 24th at Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg, Virginia from 5-7pm and a celebration of life on Saturday, January 25th at Cornerstone Chapel at 11am. Please join us for a reception to follow the church service. Sherry will be buried next to her husband Chris at Union Cemetery, the burial service will be private for the family.

The family has requested that you join them in wearing blue to the church service on Saturday if you so choose, as it was Sherry's favorite color.

My wish, for you is that this life becomes all that you want it to.
