It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing of Col. Stephen Lee Hutchens (USAF, Ret.) at the age of 65 in Leesburg, VA on October 3 ^rd , 2022.

Steve (or Hutch), son of Orville and Genevieve Hutchens was born in Philadelphia and graduated from Frankford High School in 1975. He went on to study Criminal Justice at West Chester University and before long proceeded to attend Officer Training School before joining the United States Air Force where he served from 1985 until 2007.  During his tenure with the Air Force Hutch was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart among other notable commendations and awards. His most recent position was that of Deputy Chief of Security at the U.S. Treasury Department Bureau of Engraving and Printing in Washington, DC.

Hutch is survived by his father, Orville, his brother Clifford and his three children: Stephen Jr., Leah, and Spencer.

The funeral service for Col. Hutchens will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Friday February 3 ^rd at 11:00 A.M. where he will be put to rest with full military honors.
