A father, grandfather and brother remembered…

It is with heavy hearts that we share the unexpected passing of our beloved dad, Stephen (Steve) K. Patterson on February 25 ^th , 2021. Steve was born on January 13, 1950, in Oklahoma City, OK, to John and Modenia Patterson (both deceased). In his 71 years Steve lived all over the world including Germany, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Florida and Virginia. He met his future wife, Jacklyn (Jackie) Trenary Patterson (deceased) in his junior year of High School, and they had a joyful life together raising two children and nine grandchildren.

Steve never met a stranger – he made everyone feel they were special and a friend. He loved to travel and went on many adventures over the years to Europe and the Caribbean with family and friends. He also loved to read recipes and cook, play games, paint, and order things he never knew he needed from informercials.

Steve is survived by his two children and their spouses, Brian & Beth Patterson and Meegan & Guy Huffman. His brother and sister-in-law Mike & Rosemary Patterson; his sister Sherry Patterson; his brother and sister in-laws Bill & Charlene Simpson; as well as his treasured grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Steve was fiercely generous to all and we will miss him so much. We will also continue to "be good to ourselves" as he reminded us each time we talked.

Due to COVID no memorial service will be held at this time but his family will be scheduling a private celebration of life in the future.
