Tamara (Tami) Chuises Dozier, age 47, died unexpectedly on May 6, 2019 in Reston, VA.  She leaves behind her daughter Janet Taylor; her partner Stephen Kennedy: her sister Jennifer Smith; her brother Richard Chuises Jr, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Her parents, Richard and Janet Chuises of Roanoke, VA preceded her in death.

Tami was born March 9, 1972 in Radford, VA.  She graduated from Blacksburg High School and attended Virginia Tech.  Tami was a Project Manager for Sprint and resided in Sterling, VA.

Tami was a cancer survivor for over 30 years and we are blessed to have had that extra time with her in our lives. She was full of life and joy and laughter.  Tami was a devoted mother to her daughter Taylor.  Tami loved her Virginia Tech Hokies and was extremely excited that her daughter will be attending VT in the fall.  Tami was loved by many and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

We will be celebrating Tami's life and light on Monday, May 13, 2019 beginning at 2PM at Algonkian Park (Shelter 1), 47001 Fairway Drive, Sterling, VA 20165.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, a cause near and dear to her heart.
