It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ted Franklin Jackson, age 87, a gentleman of immeasurable kindness, integrity, and dedication.  Ted's life was marked by steadfast commitment to his faith, his community, and his family.

Ted held the distinction of being the longest serving member of the Leesburg Baptist church, a testament to his enduring devotion and faith.  For over six decades, he was an active and proud member of the Lions Club, selflessly serving others and embodying the Club's mission of making the world a better place.  His leadership extended to the Union Cemetery Board, where he served as President, ensuring dignity and respect for all laid to rest under his watchful eye.  Additionally, Ted's influence reached far and wide through his role on the Board of Directors of Loudoun Water and his gubernatorial appointment to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, where he tirelessly championed environmental preservation and conservation efforts.

Above all, Ted was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He was preceded in death by his loving parents Benny and Helen (Wyncoop).  He is survived by Joyce, his loving wife of 63 years, his sons, Todd (Carrie) and Bruce; his grandsons, Tyler and Johnny; and his brother, Whitney (Margie).  Ted's family was his greatest joy, and his love and wisdom enriched the lives of those fortunate enough to call him family.  Ted Franklin Jackson will be deeply missed, but his legacy of unwavering devotion, boundless compassion, and an enduring belief in the power of community will continue to inspire all who knew him.

A service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at Colonial Funeral Home of Leesburg, 201 Edwards Ferry Rd., NE., Leesburg, VA  20176.  Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, King Street, Leesburg, VA.
