Teresa Mary Bibbs (Terry Montague), one day shy of her 70th birthday, passed peacefully at her home in Leesburg, VA on November 13th, 2023.

Terry was predeceased by her parents, Alice Lorraine and Arthur Edward Montague of Bowie, MD. At her side was her devoted husband, Larry Allen Bibbs and her two children, Lauren Montague McGuire (David) of Charlotte, NC and Nicholas Allen Bibbs (Kim) of Ashburn, VA. On the evening of her passing, celebrating her life with a glass of white zinfandel, was step-daughter Marla Mitchell (Matt) of Stephens City, VA, siblings and outlaws Dennis Montague (Shelly) of Orlando, FL, Kathy Montague, Michael Montague (Mary Anne) and Michele Seeba (John) of Bowie, MD.

While Terry loved her children, she joked that she would have skipped her own children and jumped straight to having her beloved grandchildren Aidan Allen, Jack Franklin and Alexandra Lorraine McGuire of Charlotte, NC and Connor Dupree and Aubrey Mae Bibbs of Ashburn, VA. Terry retired in 2006 after working for the federal government for 34 years, though her favorite job title of all was Granny. Terry lived for seeing her grandchildren play soccer, basketball, baseball, attending their school functions and buying clothes for Aubrey and Alex. She also loved spending time at her favorite watering hole, Lost Rhino, with her friends and family.

Terry's family wants to acknowledge the incredible nurses, doctors and staff of Inova Loudon STICU for the exceptional care and compassion given during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Daisy Foundation, recognizing exceptional nurses and staff, in her honor. A service will be held at Colonial Funeral home on Saturday, November 25th at 4:00pm with visitation at 3:00pm. 201 Edwards Ferry Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176
