Terrell Lee Jefferson born August 28, 1968, in New York City, left this world on September 5, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion. Terrell, the beloved husband of Heather, was a devoted father and like a father to Terrell Michael, Alicia, JaShaun, Camden, Khi, Trejan, and Nacaiah. He was also the very proud grandfather of Lucas Lee. Terrell is deeply mourned by his siblings Robert, Derrick (Wyvette), Niecey, Kim, Darryl (Laura), and Vernique. His eighteen nieces and nephews are aggrieved by his loss as well.

Terrell was raised in the Bronx, New York by his loving parents Vernon and Mary Jefferson (deceased). He spent his younger years traipsing all over the Bronx, Harlem, and Mt. Vernon, New York, first by bikes then by one of the numerous cars he owned – even taking his first born on bike trips further than his mother ever knew! Terrell was a lover of all styles and types of vehicles; this love was fostered when he worked his first “real” job at a Subaru dealership in Cross County.

Once he moved to Virginia, Terrell dedicated sixteen years to working with the Salvation Army in Leesburg, where he passionately served the community, always eager to help those in need without expecting anything in return. His selfless nature and immense kindness where hallmarks of his character, traits he lovingly imparted to his children

A fan of Formula One, Terrell cherished time spent with his sons, through sickness and health. Whether it was taking them car shopping or fishing or watching them play soccer or covering his eye with a patch to match his son’s after surgery. He stood beside them from kindergarten to high school graduations. From college move in days to theatrical drama performances to choral recitals, he encouraged their learning, growing, and healing. He supported them as they discovered their own personal interest in baseball. He played with them at the pool for hours, teaching them to swim, and how to take care of the lawn, and how to properly wash cars in the family driveway.

Terrell’s deep love for family, coupled with his gentle spirit, endeared him to all who knew him. In eternal rest, the husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a blessing and never ever fade.
