Terrence Allen, beloved husband of Lynda Allen, beloved father of Mark Allen in Syracuse, NY; Kim Zsitvay in New Vernon, NJ; Andrew Allen in Atlanta, GA; Terry Allen in Leesburg, VA; and Jeff Allen in Great Falls, VA. Grandfather to Tricia, Timmy, Kiel, Krista, Kevin, Sydney, Andy, Mitch, Genevieve, Leyton and Caiden. Brother to Donna Craig and Dallas Allen.
Born in Royal Oak Michigan in 1934, Terry had the opportunity of living in several states while he was employed by Martin Marrieta, Litton, Carrier, and Safeco and during retirement he enjoyed living in Los Angeles, Chicago, La Quinta, Scottsdale and most recently near his five kids and 11 grandchildren on the east coast in Leesburg, VA.
He enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling with his adventurous wife Lynda and numerous friends to places near and far. He experienced cruises to the Panama Canal, Europe (several),and Alaska, and an annual trip to Cancun where close friends would meet to catch up on life. He was an excellent golfer, and enjoyed playing any kind of cards. He had an amazing, very special creative talent for building beautiful pieces of furniture, cabinets and creating special spaces that his wife and children have enjoyed and cherish in the homes they built. He loved being with his kids and grandkids, taking special trips often with his sons. His traits of integrity, friendliness, humor, and helpfulness earned him friends easily with many lifetime friendships from all over the country intact. He is a testimony to the rewards of living a good and honest life. Our sorrow is tempered by so many wonderful memories, family and friends.
Services will be held on Friday, May 7th at the Chapel of Immaculate Conception, at the corner of King and Union in Leesburg, VA, at 10:30 am. A Celebration of Life will follow at the home of Terry and Jane Allen.
