Thomas Franklin Dawson Sr, 88 of Lake Holiday, Cross Junction, VA passed away Feb 20, 2018 in Winchester, VA.  He was born January 4, 1930 in Philomont VA to the late Catherine Tavenner Dawson and Sewell Randolph Dawson.  He was also proceeded in death by his wife of 59 years Cathleen Dwyer Dawson and his son Thomas F Dawson Jr.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948.  After serving 4 years in the US Navy, he was an accountant and office manager for several Washington DC firms, until he retired in 1992. He enjoyed boating and fishing and spent many happy summers in Ocean City, MD and Rehoboth Beach, DE or winters in Florida.  He was happiest when visiting with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by daughter, Terri Dawson Bonneville (Bob) of Ijamsville MD, daughter-in-law, Ginger Ebert Dawson of Winchester, VA, 4 grandchildren, Candice, Courtney and Brett Bonneville and Tommy Dawson, and 1 great grandson, Asher Dawson. He is also survived by brothers Bob and Don Dawson and sister Laura Pearson.  He will be truly missed by his faithful dog Benji. The pallbearers will be Bob Bonneville, Brett Bonneville, Scott Carnegie, Tommy Dawson, Hirst Pearson and Jason Piscelli

Family will receive friends Monday Feb 26th, 2018 from 11a-12n at Colonial Funeral home in Leesburg, VA with funeral services being held immediately after at 12noon at Colonial Funeral home.  Interment to follow in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, VA
