Thomas M. Redmon, age 86, passed away at his home in Leesburg surrounded by family on March 23, 2014.

He was born January 16, 1928 near Philomont, VA and was preceded in death by his parents, George and Myrtle Redmon and seven siblings.

Thomas was a Master Gardner for the Mars family and a Farmer most of his life. He was also a member of the Army Corp of Engineers and an avid sportsman and fan.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 61 years, Gloria. (Poole) Redmon, three children, Tommy of Boyce, VA, Eleanor "Dana" of Leesburg, VA, and Eric of Stephen City, VA, his youngest brother, Franklin "Fritz" of Ashburn, VA. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday March 28, 2014 at the Colonial Funeral Home in Leesburg. The interment will follow at Union Cemetery in Leesburg, VA.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
